One bird has a yellow belly and green body, the bird is resting on a tree. He is tired from flying. The bird flew a long way, he flew from a far away  journey and he is sitting on the tree . He has dark blue  wings. He feels warm and safe on the tree. He feels free and wild. He will be free to fly by the end of day.

A Quilt for Kiri

There was a little girl and she had a grandma. Her grandma lived in another country. She had a beautiful house but one day she died and Kiri was sad. But then a little package was delivered to their house. Kiri opened the package and she saw a  quilt. She mended it with her mum and she loved it. Kiri’s dad told Kiri about the quilt and how her grandma use to put the quilt on her bed. The flowers that she sewed on the quilt were from her garden and in the morning Kiri’s mum hugged her then Kiri went to school with her dad.
